She has a strong foundation in scientific research and regulatory affairs and hold a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Applied Microbiology, a Master of Science in Applied Parasitology and Medical Entomology, and a PhD in Molecular Parasitology. Her academic background has equipped her with the scientific expertise to navigate complex regulatory landscapes with confidence.
Sharon’s career includes six years as a post-doctoral research scientist in infectious diseases in the UK, followed by a role as a Higher Scientific Officer, at the UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE), where she reviewed industry submissions for plant protection products. After relocating to Australia in 2014, she worked as a regulatory consultant writing dossiers for submission to key regulatory bodies in both Australia and New Zealand including the APVMA, EPA, and ACVM.
